We may also selectively pursue assets in certain countries in Latin America in the future. While we are regionally focused in the near term, we may pursue projects outside the region in the future to the extent they are advantageously positioned in markets with favorable supply & demand dynamics.
We typically pursue acquisitions that entail both the safe & reliable re-start of idled assets and safely increasing utilization of existing assets. The scope of our Projects includes aligning our objectives with those of the communities in which we operate to further their economic and workforce development in a sustainable manner.
Our highly experienced & cohesive management team believes enhanced profitability can be achieved while prioritizing safety. Our senior leadership team averages over 30 years of relevant experience, including having managed some of the largest refineries in the U.S. such as Motiva's Port Arthur Refinery in Texas (which was the largest in the U.S. at the time) and Shell Deer Park which is also in Texas. While our primary objective will be to optimize the performance of our assets in a safe manner, we will also seek to selectively take advantage of burgeoning opportunities involving alternative & sustainable fuels as demand continues to increase.
